Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming medical practice, creating new opportunities for diagnosis, treatment and hospital management, but it also poses challenges in terms of safety, transparency and accountability. This course has been designed to address these issues, offering a practical and applied approach to the use of AI in healthcare, covering its main applications, the legal and ethical requirements, and the mechanisms necessary for its responsible use. This training enables participants to integrate AI into their professional practice in an informed and ethical manner, in line with current regulatory standards.

Objectives
This practical course is aimed at healthcare professionals who wish to understand how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming medical and hospital practice. With a practical focus, it aims to provide essential knowledge for the ethical, responsible and effective use of AI in clinical and hospital settings, ensuring compliance with the principles of patient safety, informed consent and human oversight.

- Understand the practical uses of AI in medicine and its growing application in hospitals and clinics.
- Identify the challenges faced by hospital managers in implementing AI-based technologies.
- Explore the impact of AI on the standard of care, from both a medical and a legal perspective.
- Discuss critical issues such as patient safety, human oversight and informed consent in the use of medical AI systems.
- To analyse the attribution of liability in cases of harm caused by automated decisions, understanding the ethical and legal challenges involved.
- To examine real-life cases and practical examples, enabling an applied approach to the integration of AI into hospital routine.
- To ensure that healthcare professionals acquire a solid understanding of the regulation of AI in medicine and best practices for its responsible use.
