Elections for the Non-Academic and Non-Research Staff Representative on the School Council

On 7 April 2026, at 5.30 pm, the Electoral Commission responsible for the process of appointing the Representatives of Non-Teaching and Non-Research Staff to the Faculty Council met to count and announce the results of the election.

Following verification and reconfirmation of the vote count, 32 votes were recorded, distributed as follows: 28 votes for List A, 1 blank vote and 3 invalid votes.

In view of the results, the following were elected to the Faculty Council:

On April 7, elections will be held for the Non-Academic and Non-Research Staff Representative on the School Council.

The election campaign will run from March 23 to April 5.

To exercise your right to vote, please go to Room 108 (Deanship and Management Support) between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m..

Mobility Vote

The NOVA School of Law acknowledges the constraints that may prevent individuals from casting their votes in person and, as such, has instituted the Mobility Vote.

If you would like to vote remotely, you must complete the NOVA School of Law Faculty Council online form by 22:00 on 29 March 2026. You will need to use your NOVA School of Law login details to access the form.

After your registration is confirmed, you will receive an email notification with the link to access the electronic voting platform. This platform will be available from 12:00 PM on March 30, 2026, until 11:59 PM on March 31, 2026, upon authentication with your NOVA School of Law credentials.

This initiative is designed to ensure the confidentiality and anonymity of the vote and to guarantee the involvement of all individuals who wish to partake in this electoral process, a pivotal moment in the democratic life of our Institution.

The process was closely monitored by the Electoral Committee, appointed by Order no.6/2026, and in accordance with the provisions of article 4 of the Election Regulations concerning the Representatives of Non-Teaching and Non-Research Staff on the School Council.

In accordance with the NOVA Schoool of Law’s Statutes, the School Council includes three external members of recognised standing. These members are appointed by the Rector based on recommendations from the elected members. Following their appointment, the Council shall elect the Chair and Vice-Chair by an absolute majority. The Chair shall be elected from among the external members and the Vice-Chair from among the teaching staff currently in post.

Informa-se que estão convocadas as eleições para escolher os/as representantes do Pessoal Não Docente e Não Investigador no Conselho da NOVA School of Law (Faculdade de Direito). 

O prazo limite para apresentação de candidaturas é dia 6 de março, às 17h00.

As candidaturas deverão ser dirigidas ao Presidente da Comissão Eleitoral, Dr. Paulo Ferreira, e remetidas para o e-mail apoio.direcao@novalaw.unl.pt

O processo será acompanhado pela Comissão Eleitoral, designada pelo Despacho n.º 6/2026, de dia 9 de fevereiro, e de acordo com o disposto no Artigo 4.º do Regulamento Eleitoral relativo aos/às Representantes do Pessoal Não Docente e Não Investigador no Conselho da Faculdade.
