Mental Health Resources in University Context
Tools for psychological support, self-reliance and personal development initiatives available at NOVA School of Law
In order to fulfil its ongoing commitment to providing the best resources for its student community, NOVA School of Law is strengthening its strategy to promote mental health, focusing not only on direct psychological support, but also on developing the autonomy and personal skills of students.
In this context, resources such as the TEAM24 psychological support platform and the BANDUA programs are available to the entire student community, free of charge and of easy access.
Information on programs and events is regularly shared with the community via institutional email to all students.
TEAM24
TEAM24 is an app that offers not only completely free online counselling sessions, but also mindfulness exercises and other tools for emotional wellbeing. It is available 24 hours a day to the entire student community across all three levels of study, free of charge and anonymously, whether for regular support or in crisis situations.
Over a hundred of our students have already signed up and started exploring the resources available on the platform. Among the most frequently used services are the support chat and the psychological helpline, which is anonymous, confidential and accessible via mobile phone, available at any time and requiring no travel or appointment.
TEAM24 also offers psychology appointments via video call, according to schedule and available anywhere.
In addition to direct psychological support, this initiative includes a range of digital tools available via the TEAM24 app, which enable students to develop skills such as emotional management, personal organization, focus and resilience. These features aim to empower students to deal more independently with the challenges of everyday academic and personal life.
For further information, download the TEAM24 app from the app store and start using it by creating a user account using the registration link sent to your institutional email address in February. If you need the registration email resent, please contact apoio.estudante@novalaw.unl.pt
BANDUA- SASNOVA
At the same time, students also have access to content, events and training resources available on the BANDUA website, including workshops, educational materials and awareness-raising initiatives in the areas of wellbeing and personal development.
BANDUA is a program created by NOVA University Lisbon, as part of the National Program for the Promotion of Mental Health in Higher Education, and dedicated to the mental health and well-being of the academic community. It was created to facilitate access to reliable information, useful resources and psychological support, helping to promote a more balanced, mindful and fulfilling academic life.
This integrated approach aims to go beyond simply responding to crisis situations, by fostering a culture of prevention and continuous growth. The aim of BANDUA is to equip students with the tools to not only seek help when they need it, but also to develop skills that will serve them throughout their lives.
NOVA School of Law thus reinforces its commitment to student-centred education, where emotional well-being, autonomy and personal development play a fundamental role in the educational journey.
