NOVA School of Law Day

Until that day arrives, we look back on moments from last year’s event, as well as the words of our Director of the NOVA School of Law, Margarida Lima Rego, as a message for the future of all those who have chosen our Faculty to dare to think about law in a new way:

“This is now the fourth year that I have had the honour of addressing you at the end of the Faculty Day ceremony. I always do so with a full heart, great pride and joy for our many individual and collective achievements. But above all, I am proud of the people we are: the wonderful individuals who make up our magnificent NOVA School of Law community, with all its richness and diversity. You will always be part of this community as alumni.” (…)

This is one of those occasions when we are collectively overflowing with happiness and affection, anticipating the longing we know we will feel.(…)

You have graduated with a bachelor’s or master’s degree from NOVA School of Law, and you have done so with dedication, talent, and courage. You are part of a generation that has chosen excellence, elevating our faculty to the very top of legal education in Portugal in the process.

From the moment you first set foot on our campus, we have felt the weight of responsibility for welcoming the finest talent that Portugal produces or attracts. Our mission has always been clear: to help you realise your full potential.

Today, as you leave NOVA School of Law, you are taking with you not only an academic education of the highest standard, but also a transformative experience that has prepared you to face the world’s challenges with confidence, awareness, and responsibility. The country and the world need people like you: individuals with knowledge, skills, and values.
