(ILSPSD)<\/strong> addresses<strong> global challenges at the intersection of international law and international relations, focusing on security, peace and sustainability<\/strong>.<\/p><p>Bringing together <strong>six European higher education institutions<\/strong> and<strong> 30 associated partners worldwide<\/strong>, the programme aims to train future lawyers and policymakers capable of addressing complex global issues such as international conflicts, security, sustainable development and human rights.<\/p><p>As one of the institutions responsible for the academic development of the programme, NOVA School of Law is part of this international consortium, contributing its recognised expertise in the areas of international law, global security and human rights.<strong> The school offers a specialised track in Globalisation, Law and Security<\/strong>, combining a strong practical element with access to international networks, research opportunities, and internship possibilities. This provides students with an international, interdisciplinary academic framework geared towards critically analysing contemporary legal and political Security, Peace and Sustainable Development comprises <strong>four semesters<\/strong>., which are distributed across different institutions in the consortium. This allows students to acquire advanced academic training and extensive international experience.<\/p><p>The academic programme includes:<\/p><ul><li><strong>First semester<\/strong>: all students attend Leuphana University of L\u00fcneburg (LL.M. or M.A. in ILSPSD).<\/li><li><strong>The second semester<\/strong> involves studies at the Barcelona Institute of International Studies, focusing on international security theories.<\/li><li><strong>In the third semester<\/strong>, students choose one of the partner universities to follow a specialisation track, including:<ul><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul><li>University of Glasgow: International Law and International Security<\/li><li>Universit\u00e9 Libre de Bruxelles: Security and Conflict<\/li><li>University of Tartu \u2013 International Law and Human Rights<\/li><li>At NOVA School of Law, students can opt for the Globalisation, Law and Security track, which includes practical training, legal laboratories, participation in research projects and connections to international networks.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>In the<strong> fourth semester<\/strong>, students write a final dissertation at the same institution as in the third semester, under the guidance of consortium faculty.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Mobility is mandatory and structured<\/strong> to ensure that all students experience mobility in <strong>at least three consortium institutions over the 24 months of the programme<\/strong>.
