is an Assistant Professor in International Law at the NOVA School of Law and a researcher of <a href=\"https:\/\/cedis.novalaw.unl.pt\/?lang=en\">CEDIS (Research Centre on Law and Society)<\/a>. She is also the Co-coordinator of the <a href=\"https:\/\/novalaw.unl.pt\/en\/master-in-law-and-security\/\">Master\u2019s in Law and Security<\/a> and member of the Scientific Commission of the <a href=\"https:\/\/novalaw.unl.pt\/en\/master-in-law-and-economics-of-the-sea-ocean-governance\/\">Master\u2019s in Law and Economics of the Sea<\/a>. Her main research interests are international human rights law, international humanitarian law and armed non-state actors, international criminal law, and business and human rights. She is a member of two Knowledge Centres at NOVA School of Law: the Scientific Coordinator of the <a href=\"https:\/\/novabhre.novalaw.unl.pt\/\">NOVA Centre on Business, Human Rights and the Environment<\/a> and the Co-coordinator of the <a href=\"https:\/\/novalaw.unl.pt\/en\/nova-war-law-lab\/\">NOVA War and Law Lab<\/a>.<\/p><p>Laura has been a speaker at several international conferences, including those organised by the European Society of International Law (ESIL), the Law &amp; Society Association and the Association of Human Rights Institutes (AHRI).
