class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>NOVA School of Law<\/strong> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www5.usp.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University of S\u00e3o Paulo (USP)<\/a>, through its <a href=\"https:\/\/direitorp.usp.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ribeir\u00e3o Preto Law School (FDRP)<\/a>, have established a cooperation agreement to create a<strong> Dual Degree Programme in Law<\/strong>. This initiative reinforces their commitment to legal education in a global context and strengthens the academic ties between Portugal and Brazil. This agreement was signed as part of an institutional visit to Brazil, which also included<a href=\"https:\/\/novalaw.unl.pt\/en\/nova-school-of-law-brings-alumni-community-together-in-sao-paulo-to-discuss-the-challenges-of-artificial-intelligence\/\"> a gathering of alumni in S\u00e3o Paulo to discuss the challenges of Artificial Intelligence.<\/a><\/p><p>The programme enables selected students to s<strong>imultaneously obtain a law degree from NOVA School of Law and a Bachelor of Laws from FDRP<\/strong>, providing an integrated academic experience that spans two distinct legal systems.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-caa5694 elementor-widget elementor-widget-ekit_wb_28992\" data-id=\"caa5694\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"ekit_wb_28992.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h3 class=\"normal-titleh3 preto regular-text\">An international legal education<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b6c6410 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b6c6410\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Under this agreement, <strong>students who begin their studies at NOVA School of Law will spend the first two years of their degree at that institution<\/strong>, followed by <strong>three years of study in Brazi<\/strong>l. Meanwhile, <strong>students who begin their studies at USP will spend the first two-and-a-half years of their degree at that institution<\/strong>, followed by <strong>two years of study in Lisbon and a final semester in Brazil<\/strong> to complete their programme. In both cases, participants will follow a jointly defined and recognised study plan, ensuring academic equivalence and high-quality training.<\/p><p>The programme also includes preparing and defending a final thesis (TCC \u2013 Trabalho de Conclus\u00e3o de Curso), which is supervised by faculty members from both institutions and fosters a comparative approach to legal topics.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0c58fee elementor-widget elementor-widget-ekit_wb_28992\" data-id=\"0c58fee\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"ekit_wb_28992.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h3 class=\"normal-titleh3 preto regular-text\">Academic and scientific cooperation<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3f4278b elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3f4278b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In addition to facilitating student mobility, the agreement enables other forms of collaboration, such as<strong> faculty exchange, joint organisation of conferences, seminars and courses<\/strong>, and <strong>sharing of academic and scientific knowledge<\/strong>.
