announce\u00a0<b>the opening of our call for applications for the first edition of the Fulbright Award in Law and\u00a0Sustainability | NOVA School of Law<\/b>, under the\u00a0<span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; mso-fareast-language: PT;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fulbright.pt\/fulbright-u-s-scholar-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program<\/span><\/b><\/a>.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"\" style=\"margin-bottom: 12pt;\">This award is targeted at\u00a0<b>US professors and researchers\u00a0<\/b>that wish to<b>\u00a0spend one academic semester (four months) at NOVA School of Law carrying out teaching and research activities within the topic of Law and Sustainability.<\/b><\/p><p class=\"\" style=\"margin-bottom: 12pt;\">Preference will be given to candidates whose research interests are a good fit to one or more of NOVA School of Law\u2019s sustainability related\u00a0<b><a href=\"https:\/\/novalaw.unl.pt\/en\/knowledge-centres\/\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">knowledge centres<\/span><\/a>:<\/b><\/p><ul style=\"margin-top: 0cm;\" type=\"disc\"><li class=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/novalaw.unl.pt\/en\/nova-green-lab\/\"><b>NOVA Green Lab<\/b><\/a><\/li><li class=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/novalaw.unl.pt\/en\/nova-ocean\/\"><b>NOVA Ocean<\/b><\/a><\/li><li class=\"\"><b><u><a href=\"https:\/\/novalaw.unl.pt\/en\/nova-business-human-rights-and-the-environment\/\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">NOVA Business, Human Rights and the Environment<\/span><\/a><\/u><\/b><\/li><li class=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/novalaw.unl.pt\/en\/nova-refugee-clinic-legal-clinic\/\"><b>NOVA Refugee Clinic<\/b><\/a><\/li><li class=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/novalaw.unl.pt\/en\/nova-data-driven-law\/\"><b>NOVA Data-Driven Law<\/b><\/a><\/li><\/ul><p class=\"\" style=\"margin-bottom: 12pt;\">The length of the award will be\u00a0 <b>4 months<\/b> and the starting dates are flexible, although the preferred starting month is September 2023.<\/p><p class=\"\" style=\"margin-bottom: 12pt;\">Only applications in the following disciplines will be considered: Law, Economics, Environmental Sciences, History, non- U.S., Information Sciences\/Systems, International Relations, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Public Administration, Public Health and Sociology.\u00a0 <b>There is special interest in scholars with a legal background<\/b>\u00a0or, for those with no legal background, those with an interest in inter, multi or cross disciplinary research involving legal systems.<\/p><p class=\"\" style=\"margin-bottom: 12pt;\">There is also particular interest in scholars who, in their respective fields,\u00a0<b>carry out research which is focused on meeting at least one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/un.org\/sustainabledevelopment\/sustainable-development-goals\/\">UN\u2019s Sustainable Development Goals<\/a><\/b>, aimed at ending poverty, protecting the planet and ensuring prosperity for everyone by 2030.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section
