Understanding the economic landscape in which legal practice and consultancy operate requires the ability to provide information based on rigorous, comprehensive and increasingly interdisciplinary specialised knowledge.<\/p><p>The <strong>Master in Law and Management<\/strong> combines the excellence, innovation and creativity of the two schools that offer and coordinate it \u2014 NOVA School of Law and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.novasbe.unl.pt\/en\/\">Nova SBE<\/a> \u2014 <strong>to develop the skills needed to foster an integrated dialogue between the legal and business worlds<\/strong>. The programme ensures mastery of essential management concepts and methodologies, integrating them into legal and business thinking, practice and communication.<\/p><p>In terms of law, the Master&#8217;s degree comprises three complementary specialisms, enabling micro-specialisation and strengthening the capacity for a global understanding of companies and business in the following areas: <strong>Tax<\/strong>; <strong>Tech Management<\/strong> and<strong> Entrepreneurship<\/strong>; and<strong> Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance, ESG Risk Management<\/strong> and <strong>Corporate Sustainability<\/strong>. The programme also covers key areas of Management, such as <strong>Finance<\/strong>, <strong>Marketing<\/strong>, <strong>Strategy<\/strong> and <strong>Human Resources Management.<\/strong><\/p><p>With restricted numbers, <strong>learning is personalised<\/strong>, focusing on the most relevant topics and international best practices without compromising on solid conceptual and methodological training or the encouragement of autonomy and empowerment for future professionals.<\/p><p>The programme nurtures leadership skills and the ability to support major economic operations. The course covers four of the five areas of Business Management. Regarding Law, Mergers &amp; Acquisitions and Corporate Governance are the core of the training and three complementary tracks are presented to the student, in order to enable micro specializations and reinforce the global understanding of companies and businesses. Due to the restricted numerus clausus, learning is personalized, based on the most relevant subjects and international best practices and does not abdicate from providing a solid conceptual and methodological formation. All are taught at the level of a Master&#8217;s in International Management, listed in the Financial Times ranking, paying particular attention to the needs and background of a young lawyer.<\/p><p><strong>In the legal field<\/strong>, the essential core of the training is in Mergers &amp; Acquisitions and Corporate Governance, to which three complementary paths are added, allowing for micro-specialisations and strengthening the capacity for a global understanding of companies and business: (i) Tax; (ii) Tech Management; and (iii) ESG Risk Management and Corporate Sustainability.<\/p><p>It is also possible to attend specialised training in Legal English (1st semester).<br \/>The end of the learning process, in the 3rd semester, promotes the increasing autonomy of the student, through research and critical analysis of the legal-business system.
