Cinquenta anos após o Parecer Consultivo do Tribunal Internacional de Justiça sobre o Saara Ocidental, o estatuto jurídico do território continua a constituir uma das questões mais persistentes e complexas do direito internacional.
Esta conferência reúne especialistas de referência para reavaliar a questão do Saara Ocidental no quadro da ordem jurídica internacional contemporânea, analisando desenvolvimentos em matéria de autodeterminação, responsabilidade internacional, segurança e atividade económica.
Ao longo de vários painéis temáticos, pretende-se promover uma reflexão crítica sobre os percursos passados e os desafios futuros.
