Coordination

Professor José Fontes combines scientific knowledge with practice. He is a Full Professor at the Military Academy – Military University Institute and a Visiting Full Professor at NOVA School of Law and the author of reference publications in the field of administrative procedure. He has also taught courses on these subjects at various organisations, such as the Court of Auditors, INA, General Inspectorates, Trade Unions and Local Authorities.

Aim of the course

This course offers a practical approach to essential subjects for those who work with administrative procedures on a daily basis, also from the perspective of those who have to deal with the public administration.

The specific objective of the training is to acquire skills related to the Code of Administrative Procedure (CPA), paying particular attention to practical examples and real cases.

Although the CPA is the starting point, complementary legal regimes will be analysed, such as the General Law on Employment and Public Functions, the Legal Regime for Tacit Approval, the Law on Access to Administrative Documents, among others.

Target audience

The programme is aimed at managers, senior technicians, technical assistants, operational assistants, as well as professionals from any sector of activity who deal with administrative procedures.
