Martim Farinha
Guest Professor
Martim Farinha is a guest lecturer at NOVA School of Law. Graduated in Law at NOVA School of Law in 2019. Obtained his Master degree in Business and Technology (“Law&Tech”) in 2023 at NOVA, and currently is a PhD Candidate in Private Law. Martim also has a post-graduation course in Legistics and Science of Legislation in Lisbon Public Law Research Center. Researcher at NOVA Consumer Lab, Observatory for Data Protection and member of CEDIS I&D.
Focused on the relationship between Law and Technology, on matters related to consumer protection, data protection and copyright, such as content moderation on online platforms, virtual property and crypto assets, metaverse and virtual worlds.

He is an author and co-author of texts on law and technology, on topics such as personal data as consideration, the Digital Services Act and the directive on contracts for the supply of digital content, among which stands out “Directives 2019/770 and 2019/771 and Decree-Law No. 84/2021 – Purchase and Sale, Supply of Digital Content and Services, Compliance, Sustainability and Personal Data” Almedina 2022, co-authored with Jorge Morais Carvalho, Inês Crispim and Maria Miguel Oliveira da Silva.
