Beatriz Seabra de Brito is an Advisor to the Vice-President of the Constitutional Court, João Carlos Loureiro. She was previously Advisor to the then Vice-President of that Court, Gonçalo Almeida Ribeiro.
Beatriz’s work has focused on criminal law theory, comparative criminal law and the intersection between criminal law and new technologies. She also has extensive experience of administrative sanctions proceedings, having worked as a Lawyer at CMVM and Banco de Portugal. She started her career at PLMJ.
Beatriz was a visiting researcher at Humboldt-Universität (Berlin) and is currently a researcher at CEDIS. She was awarded the European YERUN Research Mobility Award (YRMA) in recognition of her collaboration with Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona.
She is awaiting the defence of her doctoral thesis.
