Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare: Applications and Implications in Medical Practice
Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming medical practice by creating new opportunities for diagnosis, treatment and hospital management. However, it also poses challenges in terms of security, transparency and accountability. This course addresses these issues by offering a practical, applied approach to using AI in healthcare. It covers the main applications of AI in healthcare, the legal and ethical requirements for its use, and the mechanisms necessary for its responsible use. The training enables participants to integrate AI into their professional activities in an informed and ethical manner that aligns with current regulatory standards.
The programme explores the practical applications of AI in hospitals, the challenges faced by hospital managers and the role of technology in the standard of care from medical and legal perspectives. It also addresses the challenges of assigning responsibility for damage caused by automated systems’ decisions or errors. Throughout the course, participants will engage with real-life cases and practical examples.
