Vera Eiró, PhD in Public Law (NOVA School of Law, Portugal), is a Public Law professor (professora auxiliar) at Nova School of Law. Vera Eiró is also counsel in Linklaters’ LLP Finance & Projects department and leads the Public Law and regulatory practice in Portugal.
Her practice and research has focused on public procurement, administrative law, energy law, environmental law and planning law.
She is also author of several articles and books – including her PhD thesis – and often invited to speak at conferences, universities and industry events, both international and national, being also part of the editing board of prestigious Portuguese law publications (Cadernos de Justiça Administrativa and the Portuguese Bar Association Magazine).
Her role in the academia and profile in the market resulted in an extensive and diverse professional experience that in the academia is based in Public and Administrative Law including litigation and public law arbitration connected with the execution of relevant public contracts (including concession agreements and other administrative contracts).
She is also an arbitrator who has been appointed to several conflicts related to public services and administrative contracts. Vera has worked as advisor to the Portuguese Constitutional Court.
