Aim of the course
The Postgraduate Course in Foreigners’ Rights and Nationality aims to provide in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of foreigners’ rights and nationality, based on international and European concepts and legislation and legal practice in Portugal.
Target audience
University graduates or final-year students in any scientific field.

Teaching methodology
- Theoretical classes – synchronous sessions
- Discussion forums – asynchronous sessions
- Practical session and case study – group work (asynchronous) and presentation (synchronous)

Assessment
- Participation: asynchronous participation in discussion forums on Moodle (10%), min. 3 per module;
- Multiple-choice tests: 2 tests – synchronous sessions at the end of each module (15% each – 30% total).
- Practical group work (40%):
- Choose a module (Foreigners’ Rights or Nationality Law).
- Form groups: min. 3–4 people.
- Develop a procedural document according to the case study (max. 10 pages).
- Presentation of group practical work (20%)
Certificate of Participation
Minimum attendance of 75% of sessions.
