Abreu Chair in ESG Impact

The «Abreu Chair in ESG Impact» is an ad personam chair resulting from the collaboration agreement signed between the Knowledge Institute of Abreu Advogados and NOVA School of Law.

The «Chair» aims to reinforce the internationalization of the NOVA School of Law by supporting the hiring of a professor to coordinate teaching and research activities in the areas of sustainability, particularly in the areas of environmental and energy law.

The activities of the «Abreu Chair in ESG Impact» consist of the coordination of the knowledge centre NOVA Green Lab, whose research, training and dissemination activities are partially financed by the Knowledge Institute of Abreu Advogados. These activities are carried out with full academic freedom.

The «Abreu Chair in ESG Impact» is also responsible for the formation of students attending the courses of Environmental law; Energy law; Energy, Climate and Just Transition; and Regulation & Environmental Risk at NOVA School of Law.

This «Chair» was awarded to Professor Lucila de Almeida.
