4th Annual Conference of NOVA Tax Research Lab

9 and 10 October 2025

NOVA Tax Research Lab, knowledge centre part of the Centre for Research & Development on Law and Society (CEDIS) of NOVA School of Law, will hold its 4th Annual Conference, to take place in Lisbon, on the 9 and 10 October 2025.

The event will be held in person, with the possibility of remote participation by some speakers, and is supported by the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT) through CEDIS.

The topic of the conference is “Taxing, Fast and Slow. A new era in International Taxation”, and will feature several panel discussions on topics such as “The UN Model Tax Convention and global tax governance“, “The future of the taxation of the digital economy“, and “Implementing the OECD Pillars, Challenges and Opportunities“. This event offers a unique platform for discussing the latest innovations and challenges in the field of taxation, bringing together leading professionals, academics and representatives of international institutions.

The official conference languages are English and Portuguese.
