10th Anniversary of the Master’s in Law and Economics of the Sea

A Decade Building Ocean Governance

In 2025-2026, the Master’s in Law and Economics of the Sea – Ocean Governance at NOVA School of Law celebrates its 10th anniversary.

Since its creation, the program has become a leading platform for interdisciplinary education and research on maritime law, ocean governance, and the sustainable management of marine resources.

To mark this milestone, NOVA School of Law and the NOVA Ocean Knowledge Centre will organize a series of events aimed at bringing together students, alumni, faculty members, institutional partners, and practitioners who have contributed to the program’s development over the past decade.

Together, these initiatives aim both to celebrate the program’s history and to foster reflection on the future of ocean governance research, education, and policy.
