Fulbright Award in Law and Sustainability | NOVA School of Law

We announce the opening of our call for applications for the first edition of the Fulbright Award in Law and Sustainability | NOVA School of Law, under the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program.

This award is targeted at US professors and researchers that wish to spend one academic semester (four months) at NOVA School of Law carrying out teaching and research activities within the topic of Law and Sustainability.

Preference will be given to candidates whose research interests are a good fit to one or more of NOVA School of Law’s sustainability related knowledge centres:

The length of the award will be  4 months and the starting dates are flexible, although the preferred starting month is September 2023.

Only applications in the following disciplines will be considered: Law, Economics, Environmental Sciences, History, non- U.S., Information Sciences/Systems, International Relations, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Public Administration, Public Health and Sociology.  There is special interest in scholars with a legal background or, for those with no legal background, those with an interest in inter, multi or cross disciplinary research involving legal systems.

There is also particular interest in scholars who, in their respective fields, carry out research which is focused on meeting at least one of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, aimed at ending poverty, protecting the planet and ensuring prosperity for everyone by 2030.
