NOVA School of Law team conquers 33rd place at Willem C. Vis Moot

It is with great pride that we share that NOVA School of Law made it through to the Top 64 in the oral rounds of the world’s largest international arbitration competition, Willem C. Vis Moot, winning the 33rd place among the 378 participating teams.

NOVA Vis Moot Team was the Portuguese team with the best classification in this year’s competition and will receive the APA 2023 Award, attributed by the Portuguese Arbitration Association.

The award ceremony will take place during the APA Arbitration Day, on May 25, 2023, at Amphitheatre 6 of the Law Faculty of the University of Lisbon.

Willem C. Vis Moot

The Willem C. Vis Moot, this year in its 30th edition, is an international competition of law students, in which the students simulate a hearing on issues of arbitration and international commercial law.

This year 378 teams from 89 jurisdictions were in Vienna in person, bringing together more than 2,500 students.
