Aim of the course

This training course aims to provide a concise and practical overview of the transposition in Portugal of Directive (EU) 2022/2523, which ensures a global minimum level of taxation for multinational enterprise groups and large national groups in the European Union, following the OECD/G20 Pillar 2.

The course will explore its main concepts, the global context, and recent developments in the implementation and operationalization of these rules, including the exchange of information between Member States. Aimed at professionals and academics in tax law, accounting, and finance, the course seeks to clarify the changes in the tax regime brought by the transposition of Pillar 2 by Law No. 41/2024, of November 8, as well as to explore in a dialogued manner the specific impacts and challenges for multinational companies and the Portuguese business sector.

Target audience

The course is aimed at Lawyers, Consultants, Tax Department Technicians of companies, Technicians of governmental and non-governmental institutions, researchers, students, and others interested in the aspects of Pillar 2 in the Portuguese tax context.
