Franco Ferrari joins NOVA School of Law

It is with great satisfaction that we welcome Franco Ferrari, who joins NOVA School of Law this semester to teach International Commercial Arbitration on the Master’s in Litigation and Arbitration, reinforcing the highly qualified training offered by this programme.

A distinguished professor of law teaching at NYU School of Law, where he also directs the Centre for Transnational Litigation, Arbitration, and Commercial Law, Franco Ferrari reinforces the talent and academic excellence of our teachers, following our strategy of internationalization and commitment to finding professionals from diverse backgrounds, who enrich us with their different perspectives and teaching methods.

About Franco Ferrari

Important active international arbitrator in international commercial and investment disputes, has published more than 350 papers, book chapters and encyclopedia entries on, conflict of laws, forum shopping, international commercial arbitration, and international business transactions. His work has been repeatedly cited by the highest courts of Austria, Germany, Israel, Singapore, and Switzerland.

Franco Ferrari was also a former Legal Officer at the UN Office of Legal Affairs, International Trade Law Division and, in this capacity, has devised various innovative tools relating to the research and implementation of international law conventions, including the 1958 New York Convention.
