Master's in Law and Financial Markets ranked 16th
The Master’s in Law and Economics of the Sea – Ocean Governance was ranked best in the world, according to Eduniversal‘s international ranking in Maritime Management.
The Master’s in Law and Financial Markets – a product of an innovative partnership bringing together NOVA Information Management School (NOVA IMS) and NOVA School of Law – was also recognized with an improvement of four places compared to 2021, occupying now the 16th position in the Western European region, in the category of International Business Law.
“This distinction is one more recognition of the excellence of our teaching, in Portugal and abroad. We have been investing substantially in educational programmes, especially in master’s and PhDs that can make a difference, that are innovative and correspond to the demands of today’s world and the interests of our students. The increasing demand we have been experiencing over the last few years is a sign that we are on the right path, training more and better jurists, and it is a great satisfaction for us to see that our bets are recognized internationally for their excellence“, says Margarida Lima Rego, dean of NOVA School of Law.
The Master’s in Law and Economics of the Sea – Ocean Governance, coordinated by Assunção Cristas, is an interdisciplinary programme, unique and dedicated to the study of issues related to the governance of the sea. Taught entirely in English, this master’s is aimed at the global market, in an area where Portugal has a clear vocation to play a strategic role, given its history and geographical location.
This international recognition reinforces its vocation, aware that in the sea lies one of the greatest challenges and opportunities on the planet for a sustainable development.
